Hey thanks for accepting the friend request! Always glad to meet fellow Queensryche and prog metal fans. I see you listen to Ark quite a bit, and I'm not familiar with them, I'll check that out!

Hi there! Happy to see you got yourself a new PC (or repaired the old one), back into scrobbling! No, I haven't listened to it yet but I will soon... With new Dream Theater and new Ayreon coming I thought I already had enough to listen to for the prog department, but I'll give it a spin soon

Haha and cool name. But I only would want a Mindcrime III by Todd and the boys. No way could I ever handle it by Camp Tate. For one there would be over 787877878009 musicians on it. You know how he rolls these days...That guy changes lineups more than he does Vests!

Yeah like you said though they had to get something out before Camp Tate rushes them all to court to try and take it all away from them. It was really only supposed to be an EP. Todd said to expect much longer songs next go around along with just everything better as they have now got one under their belt and they will be even tighter as a band. I for one can't wait because this CD is pretty damn awesome!

It takes a few listens to really sink in and is definitely a grower. Todd sounds great and definitely has his own style and uses his own voice instead of just imitating Tate. Tate was a huge influence of his before all of this went down, so naturally there's some bits here and there that are reminiscent of his vocals. He's not just a clone. The music itself has a lot of subtleties that take some time to pick up on, but it all comes together really well after some dedicated listens.

Ahah! Yes I noticed that too! By the way I found a better version and so far I listened to the album a couple of times and well, I like it. I think there are no fillers, all songs are good in my ears and 2 or 3 are instant favorite. Don't know if it's right to have the name QR on its cover but I like it anyway. The thing I miss the most is Scott's drumming

Well I tried to... I downloaded it (I know, I'm a bad person) but the sound was so bad I didn't finished to listen to the first song, I hope it's just a bad version, I read somewhere the production isn't so good but I don't believe it can be that bad... Anyway I liked Cold when it was put on youtube, I'll let you know when I'll listen to the whole cd... You listened to it? What you think?

There once was a cheesy noodle who hailed from a faraway land. He didn't know how to drive a car, so he galloped on his hyena all the way to Hawaii. The other spicy noodles made fun of him because he was cheesy. If this story moved your heart, please let me use your bathroom. Together we can stop racism. Can I count on you?

I know, I know... DtC is their worst album for me too, and yet it had some good in it IMO. And what a bad idea that cabaret thing too... but I don't think his new album will be 'metal'... Hard rock with some metal, as he did with American Soldier or O:MC II... That's my hope... I heard the new song, I still don't know if I like it. I mean I know that LaTorre has a similar timbre, but what it bothers me a little is how he seems to recreate Geoff's style. It's not a bad song but to me it's an attempt to imitate the original... Anyway I might like it in the end :-)

Oh yes, I have heard about iced Earth and Angra... But Kamelot, which I love, is actually from the USA, but they play in european power metal style ; ))) But anyway, thanks a lot :-) And if you want to explore some new groups I can recommend you something ; ) If there is of course something unknown to you in my library :D

Now that I read about it I must admit I'm kinda worried too... too many changes in so short period of time it's pretty alarming to say the least! Roland says it will be more powerful and more metal than previous ones... Let's hope for the best!!! Oh, and they surely will continue having their own sound, At Vance'ing is not on the map for the guys!

Very sad about it... The band will continue rocking obviously but Jorn will be missed (once again)!
