Everything this project has done is still unbelievable to me after 14 years. Like... they really did THAT.

Plmdds.

"Be here soon" is really growing on me. I have to say I was not very excited with some of the songs at first listen but now here I am listening to the album on repeat. So special!

I really love the new songs and videos. ~ Maybe they're not the "bangers" that so much people are expecting from them and all that mystery it's gone, but I'm happy to see and hear Jonna as a real person and not like a ethereal being or a goddess.

Sadly have to agree. I've been listening to everything up to call my name and dull is about right - pleasant enough to have in the background, but no potential for frisson or memorable hooks - lots of music sounding like this out there. If I wanted stripped down or a genre shift I would listen to her Jonna Lee stuff she was releasing before she did iamamiwhoami (some of which is also dull, however some, particularly on 'This is Jonna Lee', is quite good). Not sure I want to go to the recently announced show(s) now if this is going to be most of the setlist. I prefer her Ionna Lee stuff to this (Bounty/Kin being the pinnacle). Happy for fans new and old who enjoy it though. And fair enough on Jonna wanting to do something more raw/emotional like this for her and changing up the genre towards her roots. I feel artists like Goldfrapp (who also does synth/electronica) do this stripped down/low tempo stuff better (e.g. contrast Felt Mountain, Seventh Tree with Head First/Supernature).

I think new stuff can grow after few listens, I'll try to give it a shot. It feels like it is more intimate and intricate in a certain way, but I see the point of complain - old songs were kicking you right after the first listen.
