Named for the Lord's Prayer, this Austrian band was a '70s progressive rock group. They sound similar to psych-rock of the time, but more cerebral than most. Although they are not really in the Krautrock mold, they are grouped in with such since Austrian bands like this are sort of rare for the time period. Spaced out vocals, fuzz guitars, and some classically influenced organ make this an interesting piece of work. The instrumental breaks are a good example of prog-psych from German (or German-speaking) Europe. It is a matter of contention whether comparison can be drawn between Paternoster and Pink Floyd.

Original vinyl of this album is extremely rare–a collector's gem. Source tapes are long missing and the most common reissue comes from 1991 on the German "Ohr" label.
