Hanatarash influence is strong here. I don't get why Patton hate this album, he should keep doing stuff like this nowadays imo

People keep misunderstanding this release. It's not supposed to be an album of music in the traditional sense. It's a study in vocals and vocalization, meant to explore the capabilities of Patton's voice. It's capable of quite a lot, as it turns out.

Great album, I'm not to much into noise music like this... But this album keeps me entertained. But there is 30something tracks so there's no real rememberable songs.. I'm never like that on part on Wuxiapian Fantastique is so cool... .... . . . any way solid album....

While I don't want to listen to this album everyday, I still like it very much. I can understand why most people do not like this kind of noise (no point calling this music, cuz it isn't really), but what I cannot understand is people who won't accept that some people really want to listen to this and enjoy it.

This is utter crap, anybody claiming to like this pretentious stuff HAS to be lying. Of course it would be rather arrogant of me to posit that you're liars, but it's an sentiment I can't escape.

From the two songs I have heard this album sounds absolutely insane and absolutely amazing! I find it unspeakably brilliant that when Mike Patton finally released a solo album he released THIS! I wonder how many people were shocked to high hell when they put this on for the first time. I certainly was not expecting this when I searched for music tagged with Mike Patton.

I could record 20 albums like that, but nobody would listen to it. The great thing about this album is that it was made by a somehow popular persona in rock music world. And when everybody was aroused by his "solo album" - that was actually what they got. All in all, nice piece of avantgarde/dadaism in modern rock music.

To the criticasters: could you make something like this and still make it sound decent?

This album was a revelation for me when it came out. It took me down a path of obscure experimentation. I have a stack of audio cassettes of my own themes from when I would lock myself in a room with a microphone.
