The original Artwork with the old Volkswagen Beetle and the Mercedes-Benz W 109 is a piece of art!

I agree that the artwork is impressive. But they decided to replace the cover consciously, because minimalistic pictures are the aesthetics of Kraftwerk. Same thing with Radio-Activity, TEE, The Man Machine. They're more than just reissue covers, they're new completed covers. Anyway I don't mind original covers too, they're all pretty dope

I can't even see one original cover in that list: https://www.last.fm/music/Kraftwerk/Autobahn/+images -- The original cover has the "Philips"-label printed on, but no blue-white "Autobahn" (traffic) sign on it. See the pics at discogs.com: https://www.discogs.com/Kraftwerk-Autobahn/release/15159

"U.S. cover art is fucking ugly as fuck." Uh... by "U.S. cover art" do you mean "the original cover art?" Because every U.S. version of this album of which I'm aware uses the original album cover. The sky blue one with the basic white highway drawing was the U.K. cover.

Huge turning point for the group. I love the early stuff (despite Rolf and Florian's attempts to deny its existence) but this is where they started to really develop the sound that made them icons. The title track is, of course, a stone cold classic but the rest of the songs are great as well.

Don't know if people followed the mid-1970s Groove, R&B, Disco thang: Think "Cerrone 3" or maybe "Parliament Funkadelics" I believe it was. Think about KraftWerk then, or Aerosmith's 1st album, those were the times! Or more esoteric, Walter (later Wendy) Carlos, of soundrack to "A Clockwork Orange" fame.

Actually, this is the edited version of Autobahn. The original version was 22 minutes long, not 11, and had synth sound effects like cars whirring past you (in stereo, of course.)

Anything less than the full-length cut is pointless, except to encourage one to get the full cut. Thanks, Kraftwerk. (Thanks also, Carl S.)
