    • Ian Read (1991 – present)

Ian Read founded Fire + Ice in 1991 after several years as a member of Sol Invictus. According to their sole website, "The heartlessness of the modern commercial consumer society ruins the lives of many. FIRE + ICE takes the purity and philosophy of early music and melds it into a message redolent with powerful seeds of honour, truth, loyalty and the bond of true friendship."

Read and friends' knowledge of the ancient secrets and their practice of magick births a final product much more than a work of art; Read occult mastery produces a powerful "kick" that no mere "artist " shall attain because his work IS magick. The passion and fire of Read & his umbrella of friends, shines brightly through a perfect vessel of ice cold & dark-Frost backdraft of instruments, might be the closest the masses and can come to experiencing magick. No esoteric black robe or mystery-school indulgence required ..

Fans will definitely want to order the "hardcopy" of this band's album; the lyric books and artwork act as protective talis.man.s and infused with energies that the cyperspace/web-of-lies version cannot possible penetrate.

Music available at Neofolk Mailorder and Steinklang Records. http://www.equinoxe-organization.com or through Speaker Fire Mail Order & Distribution: http:// www.speakerfire.com
