"I'll Never Fall In Love Again" is a song released by Carpenters for their sophomore album Close to You. It was written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David.

The song was first written for the 1968 musical Promises, Promises and then recorded by singer Dionne Warwick, on December 1969, and took it to number 6 on Billboard magazine's Hot 100.

Burt Bacharach heard the Carpenter duo performing "I'll Never Fall in Love Again" at a benefit concert following the Hollywood premiere of the film Hello Dolly, and invited them to open for his show at the Century Plaza Hotel in Hollywood on February 27, 1970. The sibilings became friends with Burt, who became a great collaborator for the duo. This may have influenced the re-recording of his song.
