I always saw this track as a subtly sophisticated examination of masculinity, relationships, and role models. The song seems to be written like a discourse from father to son, discussing what would be appropriately masculine in a relationship. The first time the chorus is heard, it seems to refer to methods of winning her heart: "No woman's worth running on the Earth," in other words, "Don't act like you're too interested, because that will turn her off. Just be confident." When it is repeated, it seems to refer to getting out of the relationship: the father essentially telling his son, "Don't put up with her crap, because you're a man." There's not really enough information in the text to conclude whether he's justified in saying this, but I don't think that's the point: The point is just how much our fathers and masculine role models influence our lives and relationships, for better or for worse.

if there's one thing the singer doesn't do then it's talking like a man. still a great song.

будь мужчиной, сынок. ни одна девчонка не стоит того, чтобы ползать перед ней на коленях - типа примерно такой смысл :)
