"All I Can Do" is a song released by Carpenters for their debut album Ticket to Ride. It was written by Richard Carpenter and John Bettis. The song was recorded on a two track Sony TC-200. The rhythm tracks were recorded in the living room on track one, then they went into the bathroom, played the tape back, and recorded their vocals in the bathroom, in an attempt to get some echo. It didn’t work, and the echo wasn’t added until the final version.
